Hey Benjamin, I cannot thank you enough for getting the wiring squared away on top of getting all the other misc things taken care of on my old Madura. You did what you said you would and more! I couldn’t be more pleased with the service and customer service you have. Even dropped off my bike on a Saturday evening. I look foward to doing business with you again in the near future. Thanks Again!

    Jeremy

  2. Charles says:

Benjamin! You absolutely rock! I can’t believe how great my bike sounds and runs. I have searched all over the greater Charlotte area and could not find anyone willing (or competent enough) to work on my Hyosung motorcycle. I was very impressed with the patience and professionalism you showed me throughout the entire repair process. I will definitely be calling on you again for any additional motorcycle repair needs.

    Ben…

I trust 2 people with my bike and you are one of them. This thing rides like it just came out of a custom shop. I cannot believe the feel and power. Thank you 1000 times thank you. Oh and when the zombies come I wont worry about “Helen KLR” not starting. I live all the way in Concord NC. I drove almost an hour to leave my bike with Ben because he treats every bike like it was his own. GMW is top notch and well priced. I am a customer for life…!

We recently moved our bikes down from Ohio this past summer and were bummed to find that this riding season my 1986 Honda Rebel (450 engine) was unwilling to work. I brought it to another garage who decided after unloading it from the trailer that they wouldn’t work on it. My friends brought my bike to GMW… BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! We received an estimate, updates, and the bike was done before expected! We picked up my bike yesterday and let me tell you, it runs better than it has ever run! Also with a fifty point inspection we know things that will be coming up down the line to work on so that we can start saving now. I’ve never been happier! I will not bring my bike anywhere else!!!

  5. We love the project bikes you guys do for us and look forward to seeing the new ones you are working on… Keep up the good work!

Thanks Jack! We are really happy with the way your XR75 turned out. Thanks again for bringing it to us for restoration!

  7. Ryan says:

I have to agree with all of the other comments. I don’t think my bike has ever run as good as when it left Benjamin’s shop. He provided a type of service that I have never experienced at any other bike shop. Personable, friendly, and with top notch mechanical skills to boot! My bike has found a home. Well worth the trip from the Charlotte Metro.

  8. David Mull says:

Thanks to Benjamin and Chris, The suspension workshop was awesome and they had a great turn out. They set up the suspension on my Triumph and made a world of difference. If you haven’t been to see the guys at Gaston Motorcycle Werks, run don’t walk. Thanks again guys! – David Mull

  9. Stan Edwards says:

Dropped my 96 zx9 off yesterday (01/03/2013) after talking to Benjamin a few times on the phone. It was a breathe of fresh air to find someone with integrity and an old school sense of pride in what they do. Can’t wait to see how the bike turns out.

  10. Shlomo Cohen says:

After many years of riding dual sport bikes I purchased a Ducati Multistrada back in July. It is the S model with Ohlins suspension. It is a very capable bike by but the street oriented suspension has been very stiff for my liking and not only did it cause me to lose confidence and ride much slower than I am used to, it also caused a lower back pain every time the ride lasted more than 30 minutes. Since both the front and rear suspension are fully adjustable I did my best to make some adjustments which didn’t make a difference. Next I decided to make the investment and took the bike to a well known suspension “clinic”. they measured the and adjusted the sag and set the suspension to my weight and riding style. Guess what – there was a noticeable difference but overall the suspension was still stiff and I just could not “attack” corners like I used to. Sadly, came to the conclusion that I am just too old for this sort of bike and with a heavy heart started considering selling it.
In a recent visit to CA Benjamin (owner -Gaston Motorcycle Werks) heard my complaints, test rode the bike and in a matter of minutes readjusted the suspension and voila! MY BIKE RIDES LIKE A DREAM!!!

Buddy, I can’t thank you enough for restoring my love to this amazing motorcycle and even more important, making me realize I am not too old to ride like a (responsible) hooligan. I rode over 200 miles this last Sunday and for the first time since I purchased this bike – Loved every minute!!! I can’t wait to ride again!

  11. Robert Hazen says:

Thanks for the excellent job on tire mounting, and the oil change. No where else do I know where a man can get this quality of work done for such a fair price on a Sunday no less, you guys rock

  12. Paul Kundl says:

    Benjamin,

I’ve been meaning to drop you a note the last couple weeks but other things kept getting in the way.

You worked with the carbs on my 1995 Virago last month.. I had chance to get out and ride it a few miles a week ago when the weather broke.

I can honestly say this bike runs better now than it ever has since I have owned it. The last 10ish years other places here in the Carolinas, and back in Texas messed around with it and it ran worse after they worked on it. Now … no backfiring, no hesitation, smooth as glass.

I just wanted to say thanks again.. and you can bet you’ll be my ‘go-to’ with anything that pops up in the future..

    Good job!
    Paul Kundl

  13. Super stoked on the work I am doing! Thank you to all of my customers for trusting me to work on their bike(s)! I know you have a choice when it comes to having your motorcycle serviced and I appreciate you choosing GMW.

    All the best!

    Benjamin
